  1. The first step to unlocking 5- and 6-Star Tera Raid Battles is to finish Pokémon Scarlet or Violet. These raids are high-end endgame content, so you'll need to be sufficiently prepared before you take one on.
  2. After finishing the game, you'll have to defeat all the gym leaders again before competing in the Academy Ace Tournament. You'll be prompted to start this quest when you're being congratulated in Clavell's office after finishing the main story.[4]
  3. During the post-game, Instructor Jacq will call to let you know that 5-Star Tera Raid Battles are available, but will caution you to not do 6-Star Raids yet. You can attempt 6-Star Raids despite his warning (denoted by their black raid crystal) or you can keep doing 5-Star Raids until Jacq tells you to attempt 6-Star Raids.
