Want to see if your city is hosting a special event? You can find future, current, and past events, as well as events you've been invited to, within the Events tab of your Facebook account. This wikiHow will show you how to find events on Facebook using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Using the Mobile App

  1. You'll see this in the upper-right corner (Android) or bottom-right corner (iOS).[1]
    • If you aren't logged into your Facebook account, enter your email address and password to do so now.
  2. This is at the bottom of the listed apps. More options will expand.

  3. You can find this towards the middle of the page.
    • Some users reported this option missing from the mobile app. If you don't see Events, you can use your mobile browser instead:
      • Go to https://www.facebook.com/ using your mobile browser.
      • Enter your login information and tap Log in.
      • Tap in the top-right corner.
      • Tap Events.
  4. By default, you'll see the Top events listed below.
    • Tap a category at the top to filter your search, such as: Top, Local, This week, Friends, Groups, or Following.
    • To add a location, tap Near me and enter a location.
    • To add a date, tap Any date and enter a date.
    • To search for specific events using keywords, tap the magnifying glass icon.
  5. If you find an event you're interested in, you can tap Interested to let others know you may come, or tap Going to confirm.
    • To add an event to your calendar, tap ••• next to the event, and then tap Add to Calendar.

Using a Computer

  1. You'll see this in the left panel.
    • If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address and password to do so now.
    • You'll immediately see a list of upcoming events that are near you or your friends have responded to. Below that, you'll see a mix of events that the Facebook algorithm thinks you'll be interested in.
  2. Click Your Events to see all the events you've been invited to, hosting, interested in, or past events.
    • Click a category at the top to filter your search, such as: Top, Friends, or Following.
    • To add a location, click My location and enter a location.
    • To add a date, click Any date and select a date.
    • To search for specific events using keywords, click the search field at the top-left corner.
    • You can also create a new event.
  3. If you find an event you're interested in, click Interested to let others know you may come, or click Going to confirm your attendance.
    • To add an event to your calendar, click ••• next to the event, and then click Add to Calendar.
