How do I get rid of bacne?

I've been dealing with bad acne on my back for years now, and it's been making me feel self-conscious. I've tried showering and washing my back more, and I tried cutting out sugar and dairy but nothing helps. I'm starting to feel like it's just something I'm stuck with now. Is there anything at all that actually works to get rid of it?

If you are using just over the counter products, get a wash with either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, which you can buy without a prescription from a regular store pharmacy. And the other aspect that helps is getting an applicator for your back, which you can also buy inexpensively. It's like a plastic wand that has a washable sponge on it. So that's a really good way to actually get a medicated wash or medicated product onto your back. The only caveat is benzoyl peroxide bleaches colored fabrics, so you have to be a little bit careful if you leave residue on it or leave that product on.

Something that helped me is changing my shirts more frequently. In the summer I can sweat a lot and I think that sweat getting trapped on my skin might've been what was causing my back acne. I started changing my shirt during my lunch break and then when I got home from work too. That cleared things up!

This might be more extreme than you need but if it's really bad, consider getting an Accutane prescription. It's harder to get than over the counter products and dried me out a lot but after I was done with my cycle my acne went away for good.

Not sure if you touch or pick at your acne much, but if you do do that, try your best to stop doing that. I got in a vicious cycle of having acne that hurt, so I'd poke at it and that would make it worse, which would make me want to poke at it MORE...you get the idea
