This wikiHow teaches you how to find the direct link to a Facebook post so you can share it with others.

  1. Go to https://www.facebook.com. If you see the login screen instead of your News Feed, type your username and password into the blanks and click Log In.
  2. To find it, scroll through your news feed, or use the search function at the top of the page.

  3. This is the text that shows how long ago the post was made. It usually appears beneath the poster’s name. This opens the post.
  4. This is the bar that displays the URL (e.g. facebook.com) of the page at the top of your web browser. Double-clicking it will highlight the address.
    • The address that’s currently in the address bar is the link to the post.
  5. If your computer doesn’t have a right mouse button, press Ctrl as you click with the left button. A drop-down menu will appear.
  6. This saves the URL to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere.
  7. You can paste it anywhere, such as in a new post, email message, or on your blog.
