This wikiHow teaches you how to see fewer posts on your news feed from a friend or someone you follow. You can unfollow or snooze them temporarily to stop seeing their posts, or you could unfriend them to remove them as a friend completely.

  1. Navigate to https://www.facebook.com/ on a browser, or open the Facebook app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Type their name into the search bar at the top, then select their name in the results to navigate to their profile.

  3. It looks like a person with a checkmark.
  4. You will now stop seeing their posts on your news feed. If you are friends, you will remain friends.
    • This icon will not appear if you are not friends with them. Instead, click the button that says Unfollow.

Snoozing Posts

  1. Navigate to https://www.facebook.com/ on a browser, or open the Facebook app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Your news feed is the home page of Facebook that contains posts from your friends, groups, and pages.
  3. Chose a post made by the person you want to see less of. The dots will be at the top-right corner of the post.
  4. This will temporarily stop this person from appearing on your news feed for 30 days. If you are friends, you will remain friends.
    • You can also choose to unfollow someone from this menu instead of snoozing them for 30 days by selecting Unfollow. This stops their posts permanently from appearing on your news feed.

  4. This will remove this person as a friend from Facebook.
    • You will no longer see their posts, and may not be able to view their timeline, depending on their privacy settings.
