This wikiHow teaches you how to contact Yahoo. You can use an online tool to report spam or harassment; if you're looking to solve a minor account problem, you can try using the Help Center. There is no phone number or email address that you can use to contact a human being at Yahoo, so if you see a phone number claiming to be Yahoo support, do not call it. Keep in mind that you can change or reset your password without having to contact Yahoo.

Reporting Spam or Harassment

  1. Open Yahoo's Email a Specialist page. You can report issues with your Yahoo account from this page. This is the only place from which you can contact Yahoo services directly.[1]
  2. In the "Yahoo ID" text box near the top of the page, enter the email address of your Yahoo account.

  3. In the "Email address that you have access to" text box, enter your current email address. This can be the Yahoo account that you usually use, or you can use a separate (e.g., Gmail) account.
  4. Do so in the "Re-enter the email address..." text box.
  5. In the "Detailed description of issue", enter a message explaining what happened, the steps you took to attempt to prevent it, and any other details that you think might help Yahoo arrive at an accurate conclusion.
  6. Type the email address of the spammer or harasser into the "Yahoo ID of the person you are reporting" box.
    • Make sure that you get the email address correct, as inputting the wrong email address may result in someone else getting their account banned or flagged.
  7. This option is near the bottom of the page.
  8. It's a blue button at the bottom of the page. This will send your email.
  9. A Yahoo specialist will send an email to your provided email address, at which point you should be able to correspond with the specialist as needed.
    • If the issue was an easily fixed problem, the specialist may just resolve the problem for you, thereby negating the need to speak further with them.

Using the Help Center

  1. Go to https://help.yahoo.com/ in your browser. You can't contact Yahoo from the Help Center, but you can find solutions to common Yahoo problems.
  2. It's in the upper-right side of the page. A drop-down menu will appear.
  3. In the drop-down menu, click the product with which you need help. This will open the product's help page.
    • For example, if you need help with your account, you would click Account here.
  4. Below the "BROWSE BY TOPIC" heading on the left side of the page, click a topic that relates to your selected product. Doing so will prompt a list of resource articles to appear in the middle of the page.
  5. Click one of the resources in the middle of the page. This will open the resource's page.
  6. Depending on the resource on which you clicked, what you will see here will vary; for most resources, you'll see a list of instructions, tips, and/or information about your selected topic.
    • For example, if you selected Account as your product, Account security as your topic, and Secure your Yahoo account as your resource, you'll arrive at a page with different sets of instructions on how to make secure your Yahoo account.
  7. Again, this step will vary depending on what you're trying to do. Once you've completed your Help Center tasks, you can return to the main Help Center page to complete more tasks if necessary.
    • A select few resources have fill out this form or contact us links that you can click to bring up a form that you can fill out and submit.
