Omg that new Meta AI in the Facebook search bar is so annoying and NOT helpful. Please tell me there's a way I can get rid of it for good.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to turn off the Meta AI, but you can can still type into the search bar to use it like normal. Just avoid clicking on the blue circle so you don't go into the AI chat.

Yah, I think there used to be a way to block the Meta AI profile, but I think they got rid of that in an update :/

Thats right, you can't get rid of it anymore, but you can mute it! If you tap the little blue circle in the search bar to open the AI chat and then click the info circle in the top right, then you can mute the chat for as long as you want.

No matter what search filters you add there will still be sponsored results that appear regardless. It's almost like search filters are just suggestions rather than actual parameters.

You can search "name" and "city" and "workplace" or whatever information you have to narrow search results to just specific people.

I was locked out of my account for a few days but finally I cleared my browser's cache and tried logging in again and it worked. So if you're dealing with being locked out of your account, maybe give that a try and see if you have any luck.

You can also try looking for answers in the Facebook Help Center before going through the hassle of trying to contact someone. Sometimes the problem you're having has already been addressed in a topic in the Help Center.

You can sometimes track a person down with a few details. If you know they're friends with your friend, scour your friend's friend list and see if the person is on there. Or if you know their first name and their city or their workplace, try searching those in conjunction.

Try to find them on another social media platform first. It may be easier. Once you've found them there you may be able to find them under the same username on Facebook.
